Drum Flange

Drum flange is formally called inserted flange-type closure, which has a screw plug with an external thread, cooperating with a screw with an internal thread on the top of a metal container to form a seal. It is composed of a plug, a screw ring(flange), a washer, a liner and a cover. This kind of closure is used for tight head steel containers and is suitable for contents requiring high sealing performance.

Flange and plug gasket materials are typically synthetic rubbers or thermoplastics.

There are 3 main types of drum flange: G2, G3/4. G4 1/2. It's 2 inch ,3/4 inch and 4 1/2 inch.

Drum flange of 2 inch and 3/4 inch are more popular. Generally, a 2 inch and a 3/4 inch flange are installed on a 200 kg drum while a 2 inch one is for small pails like 20L pail, and a 3/4 inch one is for 10L pail.

The closure should be protected from bumping and deformation during transportation. Storage:

When the closure is stored. Should pay attention to rain, moisture, rust. It is not suitable for stacking in wet, corrosive gas environment and open air.
